What the Lobby Is Actually Offering
The title screen has four working areas, and each one answers a different question.
- PLAY SOLO — pick a map and a difficulty. The lobby prints the protected timer for each level: Relaxed 5:00, Standard 3:00, Brutal 2:00.
- PUBLIC MATCHES — open rooms on maps such as World, Asia, Southeast Asia and New York City in the 11 October 2026 build. Each row shows how many players are inside and a vote-to-start countdown.
- ARSENAL — permanent unlocks bought with Stars, the account currency. Panels captured on 25 and 26 October 2026 list eight items, all with a Robux price and some with a Star unlock beside it; the Star figure was readable at those captures only for Mega Nuke (20,000) and Scattershot (40,000). The Stars and Arsenal page carries the dated price table and what to buy first.
- LOCKER — territory skins and flags; that build showed 279 unlockables.
Solo is the calmer place to learn the buttons: there is no human neighbour deciding when to push. Public rooms are where the win condition matters, because other players push the same 80% bar.
The Five-Second Deploy
Choosing a room drops you straight into placement. The banner reads CHOOSE YOUR STARTING LOCATION and a Deploying in 5s countdown runs while you click. You can move the capital until the countdown ends; after the war banner appears the placement is final.
| Where you spawn | What the first minute looks like | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Map edge or corner | One or two land borders, room to expand in one direction | First public matches |
| Next to a human neighbour | Immediate contact after the protected timer; a rush can eliminate them | Experienced players hunting an early kill |
| Island or coastline | Land borders are rare, but every expansion needs a boat | Players who expect a naval fight |
If you only want to survive the first five minutes, the first-match walkthrough covers the terrain penalties and the opening sweep. This page stays on the controls.
Reading the HUD
Six fields carry everything a decision needs. They sit in the same place in solo and public matches.
| Field | What it shows | What you do with it |
|---|---|---|
| PROTECTED | Countdown before rivals can enter your territory | Spend it on free land, not on fighting |
| World control / GOAL | Your share of the map against the win threshold | Track whether the match is early or nearly over |
| Attacks panel | Incoming and outgoing battle entries on the right | Find who is hitting you before troops drain |
| Troops / Cap | Standing divisions and the ceiling Cities raise | Stop expanding when the pool is nearly empty |
| Gold and rate | Treasury plus gold per second | Price the next building before you queue it |
| Land % under your name | Your own territory share, separate from the world bar | Read your progress without the neighbour comparisons |
The goal number is printed on the HUD, so trust the bar in front of you over any guide. Every public match recorded for this page showed GOAL 80%; one solo World run printed a higher figure, which is why the threshold is quoted from the HUD rather than assumed.
Three Controls Cover Most of the Game
- Left-click a tile. On unclaimed land this expands; on a neighbouring nation it attacks. Both spend troops from the same pool, scaled by the attack-ratio bar.
- Right-click a nation. A radial menu opens with Info, Attack, Ally and Boat, plus a betrayal option once you are allied. This is the only place alliances and naval landings start.
- Use the bottom bar. Buildings, ships and missiles sit in one row with the Gold price printed on each button.
The ratio presets read 10%, 25%, 35%, 50% and 75% in the 28 October 2026 build, and the bar starts at 25%. That preset is the safest default for a new player: the highest preset empties the army that defends your border. The row itself changes between builds — a 15 October 2026 match showed 10%, 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% — so read the chips on your own screen; the 25% default has not moved.
TIP
Every click is a withdrawal: expansion, attacks and fallout clearing all spend troops. Watch the Troops counter, not the land colour, before you send the next wave.
First Five Minutes, In Order
- Read the neighbours before you click. Hovering land prints its terrain (Plains, Highland, Mountains) and how many players are nearby. Done when you know which side of your capital is empty.
- Take the free land first. Single clicks on unclaimed tiles around the capital during PROTECTED cost little and raise both gold and troop growth.
- Stop at the first human border. When your colour touches another player, switch from land to buildings. A border with no Defence Post invites the first real attack.
- Fund a City, then a Factory. At 125,000 Gold a City raises the troop cap by 25,000; a Factory at the same price raises the gold and troop yield of nearby land. Done when the gold rate in the HUD is climbing and your cap is above 10,000.
The two purchases complement each other: the City lets you hold a bigger army, the Factory pays for the next building. Building both before the protected timer ends is a realistic first-match target.
What to Build First, and What It Costs
Costs climb as you place more of the same structure, so the number on the button is the number to read. The prices below are the first ones seen in recordings, not a fixed table.
| Structure | First price observed | What it changes |
|---|---|---|
| City | 125,000 Gold | +25,000 troop cap; upgrades were listed at 125,000 then 250,000 Gold in the 11 Oct 2026 build |
| Factory | 125,000 Gold | Raises gold and troop yield of surrounding land; upgrades reached 250,000, 500,000 and 1,000,000 Gold in the 19 Oct 2026 build |
| Defense Post | 50,000 Gold | Border defence; the price climbed to 100,000 and then 250,000 as more were placed |
| Warship | 250,000 Gold | Patrols a sea lane and sinks transports crossing it |
| Missile Silo | 1,000,000 Gold | Unlocks Atomic, Hydrogen and MIRV launches |
| SAM Launcher | 1,500,000 Gold | Intercepts incoming missiles inside its radius |
Two placement rules show up as on-screen errors: Build on your own land and No room here: structures need space. Move the camera inland and pick a tile with empty room inside your border. The structures database carries the full ladder.
How a Match Ends
Territory decides the match. A public victory screen read: VICTORY — You conquered the world with 80.3% of the land outside fallout, followed by peak land, max troops, nations eliminated and match duration.
- Fallout does not count. Nuked ground is excluded from the percentage until you click the irradiated tiles and spend troops to reclaim them.
- The goal is on the HUD. Read it after you spawn; the number can differ between modes.
- Surrender exits without a win. The game menu offers Surrender and returns you to the title screen, where the match still pays Stars.
None of the recorded matches ended on a kill count or a timer: the territories crossed the bar and the victory panel appeared. If your control percentage stops short of the goal while enemies are gone, look for green fallout first.

First-Match Mistakes That End Runs
- Pulling the ratio to 100%. The army that defends your border is the same army you just sent, and a neighbour arrives before it grows back.
- Attacking a neighbour who is clearly stronger. One creator's working rule is to commit only when your troops are about double theirs; otherwise take land, not fights.
- Trusting an alliance as a wall. A recorded ally broke the pact mid-push and the HUD announced the betrayal. Keep a Defence Post behind every alliance.
- Spamming boats. Crossing water too quickly throws
Too many boat orders at once - wait a moment!and delays the landing. - Chasing the last percent through fallout. Bombed ground needs troops spent on decontamination before it counts toward the goal.
