What the Roblox Listing Actually Says
You do not have to guess at the relationship. The description on the Roblox page ends with a credit line:
© OpenFront and Contributors.
Modified by Snick with ♥
The same description sets the shape of a match: expand from a single nation, attack neighbours, build cities, ports and factories, forge alliances, launch nukes, and conquer 80% of the world to win against "88 player nations and hundreds of tribes". That is the browser game's formula, ported to a Roblox experience. Checked 26 October 2026.
TIP
This site is not the game. RoFront Command is a fan project with no connection to Torrey Pines, Roblox or the OpenFront team; the credit line above is the game crediting its own source, not this site claiming anything.
The Two Versions Side By Side
Once you know the Roblox build is a port, the useful question becomes which one to open tonight. These rows are the differences that change your first hour, not a feature-count contest.
| What you are comparing | RoWorld [World PvP] on Roblox | OpenFront.io in a browser |
|---|---|---|
| Where you play it | Roblox experience 137151641329864, published by the Torrey Pines group | A browser page at openfront.io, no Roblox install |
| Who wrote it | The listing credits OpenFront and Contributors and says it was "modified by Snick" | Open source: the openfrontio/OpenFrontIO repository is public under AGPL-3.0, created 12 December 2024 |
| Server size | The place reports maxPlayers 55. The 19 October 2026 recording sat in a 28-of-30 lobby. | The project's wiki lists v0.35.0 on 16 October 2026 with "lobbies past 125 players" |
| Progress outside a match | Stars on your Roblox account buy Arsenal items; the panel also lists Robux prices | The same v0.35 release added player levels, XP and prestige |
| Units in the build menu | City, Factory, Port, Defense Post, Warship, Missile Silo, SAM Launcher — prices in the structures database | The wiki's unit index lists Port, Train, Warship, Transport Ship and Atom Bomb |
The numbers on the right come from the OpenFront project itself and are quoted, not played: this site has recorded RoWorld matches, not browser matches. Treat the right column as what the original documents about itself.
Are You Playing Real People, or Bots?
Both. A RoWorld map is seeded with AI tribes and AI nations whether or not people join, and human players take the seats the lobby fills. Which one dominates your match depends on how many people clicked Play at the same time as you.
- The 19 October 2026 public match queued 28 of 30 players in a Southeast Asia room, and the scoreboard carried player-style handles such as
BserkandLast_blackgrandma. The recorder also eliminated an opponent whose name was the bare Roblox user id2F1691150, with a+650Gold popup. - The 25 October 2026 world-map match went the other way: ten entries filled the scoreboard, nine of them country labels, and the victory panel counted
40nations eliminated. One human and a map of computer nations still produces a full, winnable game.
So a player who wins twice and wonders whether the opponents were bots is asking a fair question — the honest answer is that you may have been the only person in that room.
How to check your own lobby in ten seconds
- Read the room list before you join. Each public match row prints how many players are inside, and the join button starts a vote-to-start countdown.
- Read the scoreboard header after you spawn. It prints a player count next to the entries; the HUD walkthrough shows where that panel sits.
- Look at the names. Human opponents read as Roblox handles. Computer nations read as country or region names.
- Try the radial menu on a neighbour. Right-click opens Info, Attack and the alliance option, and a betrayal choice appears once you are allied. A neighbour that betrays you is a player.
Solo mode is the one place where there is no ambiguity: PLAY SOLO pairs you with AI and prints a protected timer per difficulty.
What the Roblox Build Changes In Practice
A port is not a copy of the same code with a new address bar. Three things differ in ways that affect your first session.
The Arsenal is Roblox-side. Unlocks live on your Roblox account and are bought with Stars earned in matches, with a Robux price printed beside the Star requirement. The panel read on 25 October 2026 showed Mega Nuke at 39 Robux or 20,000 Stars, Scattershot 67, Railgun 999, 2x Stars 59 and Rapid Reload 129; the Stars and Arsenal page lists all eight rows with both currencies, and the Arsenal page tracks the in-match weapons those unlocks feed.
Gold buildings are cheaper to read than to model. A Port cost 250K gold when the build tooltip was captured on 25 October 2026 — the same figure as the Warship button beside it. Prices climb as you place more of the same structure, so read the number on the button, not a table from an older build.
The map, not the feature list, decides the match. The 25 October world-map run ended in 10:33 with 80.5% of the land outside fallout, 76.5% peak land, 3.09M max troops and a +1,765 Star payout. Nothing in that line depends on which game you launched from.

Which One Should You Open Tonight
Pick by the constraint you actually have, not by which one is "better".
- Your friends are on Roblox, or you are on a phone. Play RoWorld. It is the version that lives where your group already is, and the controls are built around a touch-friendly map with a build bar.
- You want the deeper, faster-moving metagame. Play the browser original. Its own changelog for October 2026 adds ranked modes, levels and prestige, and lobbies past 125 players — things this port does not advertise.
- You want one quieter match to learn the map. Either version has an AI option, but RoWorld's solo presets print their protected timers on the lobby screen, which makes it the easier place to learn in.
- You are following a guide. Check which game the guide was recorded on. A RoWorld opening walkthrough transfers to the browser game only in the parts both share — the 80% goal, the attack-ratio bar and the terrain penalties.
